Family Time

Had a lovely weekend with my son Andrew who came down all the way from Newcastle, to go to the football with his dad and then he decided to stay over.
It was lovely spending some quality time with him.
It would have been lovely to Becca and my Grandson Jack too, but he had a lovely birthday party to go to.

I'm so excited for Christmas as they are all coming down this year and it will be the first time in seven years that my son was home for Christmas, its so hard living so far away from him.  
Hopefully we will be able to move closer in time.  It's a bit difficult at the minute as my husbands Steve's dad had been diagnosed with a Alzheimers.  We live close to them and because in the most Steve works from home, he's usually around to help out.

MY LITTLE VIP

Had a great time tonight, Monday 26th November 2018 at the football match Burnley FC vs Newcastle Utd, it was a very cold night for it but Jack was so excited that it left me feeling a warm glow inside.
The kick off was delayed by 30 minutes as the  fitness assessor for the officials had a heart attack in the tunnel, we were told he was conscious when he left in the ambulance and it was believed that he was doing well.
He received a free kit, a Burnley flag that he got signed by all of the Burnley team, had a coaching session with some of the reserve team, had a VIP photo shoot with players and Sean Dyche the Burnley manager.
He then got to lead the team out with the captain Ben Mee and had a phot took in the middle of the pitch with both team captains and the officials. The match was also televised so he will have record of this forever.

What an amazing night and he was supported by his Mum and Dad, Nana and Grandad, Great Grandma Marian and John and Liz.

Cracking Christmas Cracker 8th day of Christmas series

on the 7th day of christmas a snowman family

Hi crafty friends welcome to the 12 days of Christmas Day 7 snowman family card. For this project, I used a free stencil and just adapted it to make a family of snowmen and then I put it together with a circle shaped easel card.  I think it came out super cute and I would love to see any of your makes.

6th day of Christmas

Hi crafty friends welcome to the 12 days of Christmas Day 6.  For this card I a panel for a long narrow card.  It is two cards in one the word Noel has been effectively punched out of a panel, though the O is actually a lovely snowflake. This can either be mounted as the panel onto the card with a nice backing paper behind, alternatively or as well the punched out letters and snowflake can be stuck onto a decorative panel foe a second look.

Five Gold Rings....

Hi crafty friends welcome to the 12 days of Christmas Day 5.  For this card I decided to go with a traditional 5 golden rings.  I have created the card so that it would look great on a square base card.  I show you how to trace an element, and how to the ‘cleanup’ the traced image to make sure of a clean cut.

Hi all,  I've been so busy this week, it seems that all of my classes deem to be doing their end of topic exams.   This means I have had loads of additional marking to do, plus parents evening last night means I haven't had as much time left to craft !😒!

In this video I show you how ton assemble the 3rd day of Christmas Reindeer penny slider card.  I think would make a lovely card for a child or a young family as children just adore interactive elements.  Be sure to use good quality glue - because it will need to stand up to being handled.

I’ve got a lot going on at the moment as it our science department focus week next week, so we are all busy preparing for that but as a breather I’m doing a little bit of crafting.

I also feel like I’m coming down with something, my throat reels a bit scratchy, I’m wheezy and have a bit of a silly cough.  Fingers crossed that this doesn’t develop into anything serious!!

I’m attending a charity crafting event/workshop on Saturday, which is raising money for the local hospice.  I am looking forward to making new friends.

Creating the pilgrim girl video

1st Day of Christmas - Poinsettia in a pot

Well this is the first file for the first project of Christmas, I hope that you all have fun following this series.
I will include some whimsical, contemporary, traditional and religious so hopefully there will be a project that appeals to all. 
It is my intention to try to complete 12 projects of  Christmas before the end of November, but we will see how my workload pans out.

By special request - A Shark Card - Finally!!!!

This is a versatile file that could be used to create various configurations and sized greetings cards.  Great for scrapbook pages, go for it and enjoy.  For the sewers out there this could also make a great appliqué design too.

Creating a Digital Die

Hi everyone and a very Happy Sunday (no school tomorrow its half term - yay!).  I have just released a new video on You Tube, in this video I show you how to utilise a stencil dingbat font to create a fancy edged card, like a digital die! You can see the video by following this link: video here
This will show you a technique that can be used in many ways, following this tutorial you will learn loads of techniques ,  and what canvas workspace software is capable of.  Im not saying other programs might do the same job faster - but is shows what can be achieved.

Bitesize sneaky peak

Just a quick post, before I completely say goodbye to summer, I'm clinging on LOL.  
So before I commit to the onslaught of dare I say it Christmas, I will be releasing an aquatic card and embellishment set, featuring a shark.  
This could be used to create greeting cards and or scrapbook pages (great for scrapping those holiday snaps - pardon the pun).

This is a sneak peak of the file that I have created - I won't be including all the embellishments in the You Tube video, but they will be available for free download here.

I had a lot of fun designing this one, I was tempted to add the sentiment "Fish are friends not food" but due to copyright decided against it. 
I hope that you will be joining me on You Tube when it is released during the next week or so.
